A Jain temple in Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh was burgled late on Monday in the continuing spate of robberies at Jain shrines in the district. Silver and copper jewellery and idols were also stolen. An FIR was lodged on Tuesday.

The Manak Chowk police station in charge BS Tomar, said the robbers entered the Bada Adikeshwar Bhagwan temple in Karmudi area, smashed the locks and decamped with antiques and silver crowns, a silver umbrella, besides idols of Bhagwan Shantinath and Bhagwan Gattaji. The donation box was also stolen.

Priests and devotees found the locks of the temple broken on Tuesday morning. When they went inside, they also found idols and jewellery missing.
